We’re proud to give Rebecca Fannin a well-deserved pat on the back for releasing her new book Startup Asia: Top Strategies for Cashing in on Asia’s Innovation Boom! Rebecca recently hosted a book release party for Startup Asia which was attended by over 100 prominent guests and which featured a keynote address given by Founder of Innovation Works, the former President of Google China, Lee Kai-Fu. In addition to providing Rebecca with her keynote address Lee Kai-Fu also provided her with his stamp of approval by writing the forward to her exciting new book.
Lee Kai-Fu’s speech on the accelerating pace of technology startups in China was a perfect match for the themes of Rebecca’s new book. In Startup Asia Rebecca explores the new technology hubs rising in Asia- centers of innovation and progress which are beginning to rival the long-heralded Silicon Valley of North America. Within her book Rebecca explains how entrepreneurs can take advantage of these new Asian tech centers to launch their businesses, how the venture capitalist founders of Silicon Valley are now turning to Asian tech centers, and how the risks skittish investors attribute to working in Asia are either unfounded or easily avoided.
With 20 years of journalistic experience Rebecca understands how to get to the heart of the new Asian technology boom using a style of communication which is both engaging and informative. Additionally she has consulted with some of the world’s top firms (such as Wells Fargo and NASDAQ OMX) on the intricacies of business in Asia.
