Our China expert, veteran banker Mr Eddie Wang 王浵世, shared his insights at SCMP Classified Post Banking Luncheon: China’s Domestic Banking – Myths, Truths, and Opportunities on 30 August 2011 in Hong Kong.
During the luncheon, Eddie talked about:

Mr Eddie Wang , Former President of the China Minsheng Banking Corporation (2006-2009 in Beijing) and Former Chief Executive for China business of HSBC (1994-2002 in Shanghai), is the first Hong Kong-Chinese banker invited by the Central Government to take up the top position in a domestic Chinese bank. During his term, Mr Wang helped the bank to expand retail and SME businesses and its private banking arm, aimed at attracting business from China’s growing ranks of millionaires. Minsheng Bank is now listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
During Mr Wang’s illustrious banking career, he has masterfully blended his extensive knowledge of China with a strong international flavor, giving him a unique perspective on doing business in China.
