Lijia is a journalist, social commentator and contributor. What sets her apart, though, is her remarkable journey towards becoming an acclaimed author and wordsmith. From humble beginnings in a Nanjing factory, Lijia taught herself English and worked tirelessly towards her dreams. Fueled with a passion for literature, she recently published her memoir, “Socialism is Great”, which has circulated in five continents.

Frank Dikotter – author of best-seller, Mao’s Great Famine: The History of China’s Most Devastating Catastrophe,which is selected as one of the Books of the Year in 2010 by  The Economist, The Independent, theSunday Times, the London Evening Standard, The Telegraph, the New Statesman and the BBC History Magazine.  Frank is also the Chair Professor of Humanities at the University of Hong Kong.
