Rob Lilwall was just an ordinary many who decided to do something extraordinary- ride his bicycle 30,000 miles from Siberia back to his home in London. He undertook this journey alone over the course of 3 long years through often unforgiving environmental conditions such as the eastern edge of Siberia (during the winter no less) and the flooded rivers of Papua New Guinea.
Now Rob is getting ready to embark on another incredible journey- Walking Home from Mongolia. Rob feels this adventure will be even more demanding as he travels over 3,500 km primarily by foot, starting in the Gobi Desert, in his quest to return in one piece to his new home in Hong Kong. In addition to thousands of miles of walking this journey will involve kayaking 1,000 km down China’s Yellow River and Pearl River.
Rob’s strength as a speaker is his ability to link the many lessons he learned planning and undertaking these journeys with the challenges faced by 2st century businesses. In his lectures he illuminates the important principles forming the foundation of all creative problem solving, how to ignore pessimists and naysayers, and the importance of maintaining a clear perspective and a sense of humor on the long road to reaching your goal. Combining multi-media elements including stunning pictures and videos from his trip along with a keen ability to laugh at himself Rob’s lectures are not to be missed.
