Blaine Bartlett is an internationally respected and sought after speaker, executive coach, management consultant, and organizational/leadership development expert. He is President and CEO of Avatar Resources, Inc., a consulting firm he founded in 1987. The firm has affiliate offices in four countries. He has served clients in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and the United States. While living in Japan in the early 1980’s, he managed the business and international consulting division of one of the largest and most successful human resource development and consulting organizations in Asia. Blaine is also an Adjunct Professor at China’s Beijing University and is on the teaching faculty of the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Considered a major innovative voice in the areas of executive coaching, leadership development, organizational development, and change management he has been a guest lecturer on Enterprise Leadership Development at China’s prestigious Tsing Hua University, a featured speaker at numerous World Congresses of the Junior Chamber International, a featured speaker at the World Congress of Human Resource Management, and was a core panel member of the World Consortium for Research and Development of Training. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the World Business Academy and the Los Angeles based Unstoppable Foundation. He is also on the Advisory Boards of the Tokyo based All Nippon Management Coaching Association and the Asia Coaching and Mentoring Association based in Beijing, and is a managing director of the Philadelphia based Global Coaching Alliance.

Blaine is certified as an executive, organizational and master somatic coach and was instrumental in the founding of the coaching industry in Japan and China. He is Dean of Education at the World Business Academy, a founding member of the Business Alliance for the Future, the founder of the Institute for Compassionate Capitalism, and is also a member of the Transformational Leadership Council – an international group of thought leaders, CEOs, authors, film producers, and educators. In 2012, he was formally invested as a Knight of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta, the world’s oldest humanitarian organization.

He is the author of the #1 international bestseller Compassionate Capitalism: A Journey to the Soul of Business. His first book, Discover Your Inner Strength, was written in collaboration with authors Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard and Brian Tracy and his second book, Three Dimensional Coaching: Passion into Performance, was released in 2013, was published in China in 2015 and was syndicated in Japan in 2016.

During the past three plus decades, Blaine has consulted worldwide with executives, companies, and governments and has delivered training programs to approximately 300,000 individuals and his work has impacted close to one million individuals worldwide. Keynotes

Compassionate Capitalism: A Journey to the Soul of Business
Increasingly unsustainable consumption, climate change and increasing wealth disparity are but some of the consequences of the world’s most dominate economic system – capitalism. This presentation is an historical overview of the capitalistic economic model with a specific focus on how and why it needs to change. The creation of value is redefined and audience members are invited to consider that the “future of business is making the future its business.”

Out of Time: A 21st Century Approach to Life and Leadership
A talk that is a synopsis of a broader leadership development program. The most pressing variable most leaders confront is the element of time. This is one of the most misunderstood resources available to a leader and this presentation orients the audience to a fundamental shift in understanding what time actually is and how it impacts the creation of results – personally and organizationally. Liberally borrowing from the Law of Attraction and quantum physics the address fundamentally changes the way the listener approaches the creation of their “reality”.

4th Dimensional Leadership
This keynote presentation is an overview of my core leadership development program and process. It is designed to be engaging and evocative. Core components of the presentation are organized around the concept that leadership is the sophisticated process of creating coordinated movement in a system that leads to intended results. The 4 Dimensions of Leadership (Spirit, Mind, Time/Space, Personal Mastery) are presented as a framework to explore the core elements of coordinated movement – Awareness, Context, Communication Mastery, Trust, and Commitment.

Three Dimensional Coaching: Keynote
Coaching is more and more a core skill that a manager needs to develop. This keynote is a synopsis of a book (Three Dimensional Coaching) that is the basis for a coach training program that helped launch the coach training industry in Japan and China. Covering three major forms of coaching (performance, life and somatic) the talk explores how the integration of the models makes possible dramatic changes in behavior and cognition if relatively short periods of time. Listeners are provided simple tools that are immediately transferable and useful in their own organization.

Life Between the Cracks
How is “reality” created? What is the impact of striving for perfection on the human spirit? How can we define success in a way that allows for the dropping of many balls? What do I do when I don’t know what to do? What is genius and how can I become one? These are some of the questions posed and answered in this talk. Life is messy…and funny, and frightening, and awe inspiring. It’s what one does with what “falls between the cracks” that makes the most difference.

Workshops

Three Dimensional Coaching: Program
A 2½ day program that provides the participant with an integrated, holistic exposure and to the art and science of coaching. The workshop is an integration of three of the most impactful coaching models in use today. Participants are provided with hands on skill development as well as practical, peer based and assessed practices.

Business Success Seminar
A 2½ day workshop designed for entrepreneurs and senior managers. The workshop focuses on distinctions between management and leadership, the design of an effective organization, the creation of a culture that leads to emotionally engaged employees, and the use of vision as a fundamental catalyst for creating and sustaining long term business success.

4th Dimensional Leadership
This 2½ day cutting edge leadership development workshop is based on leadership programs I originally developed for Bell Laboratories and Nokia. I have presented versions of the program for 26 years as part of an ISO9000 certified curriculum at the Japan Creative Education Institute in Tokyo. The material presented is continuously updated and refined and is based on practical and tested concepts and practices.

Leading with Authenticity
This 2-day leadership workshop is a core component of a larger Harvard Meta-Leadership program. I developed it specifically for the American Association for Physician Leadership. The program’s content is focused on developing an understanding and practice for leading from a base of authenticity. It is delivered widely in the health care field with a special focus on physicians as leaders.
