Mr Eddie Wang, former President of Minsheng Banking Corporation, talked with Prof Yunus during his recent visit in Hong Kong on banking, global economy etc… Extract: 尤努斯：2008年美國掀起了金融海嘯後，出現了一個有趣的現象。在一邊街，幾家跨國大銀行倒閉；在另一邊街，一些銀行家則很快活，依然向大財團借貸。那些銀行為何倒閉呢？主因是它們貪婪，投機作業，信奉幻想經濟(fantasy economy)，在現實中卻炒賣輸光了。我們從事小額借貸業務，每分錢都是投入實體經濟(real economy)。我給您借貸，您去買一頭牛。您把牛養育成長，就是照顧了我的貸款，還貸給我，壞賬少於1%，而不是把資金用作炒賣而烟銷雲散。我認為現代金融業已死，有關機制不可行；我們有無數窮人需要養牛，但又不容易借到錢。這便是當前世界金融的癥結。 王浵世：現在中國的銀行仍在追求高端的大筆財團貸款，而不是看看基層人們的需要。上周我在上海向內地銀行界人士作了一場演講，令您傷感的是，在場發問：「王先生，您能否告訴我怎樣可以投入高端的客戶，讓我們可借出更多的錢」。這明顯是忽略了基層市場。如果叫他們捲起衣袖到山區，看看基層市場的需要，他們就說Thank you, Sir ! Not me。教授，您曾到中國提出改良窮人經濟是很好的建議，但中國政府似乎仍未有時間來面對這些層面的問題。您提倡的借貸模式須要強烈的熱情去執行，才能在中國開花結果。如果業界沒有激情，只能空談了。 尤努斯：不同層面的人民都有融資需要，政府要關愛人民。尤其是中國，作為社會主義國家，經濟不能只依賴富人，應是依賴全體不同階層的人民作為支柱，去發展整個經濟。中國需要不斷檢視和更新金融體制，而不是只是利用「資本主義體制」去建立「社會主義國家」。 Full interview at SCMP
